Abstract

This seminar will review the nature of sea-level change during a glacial cycle and the state of current models for predicting this change. The focus will be on the Mediterranean region and on two epochs: the last 20,000 years and the Last Interglacial. Included will be a discussion of tectonic contributions and their separation from the eustatic-isostatic contributions, observational issues including archaeological data, and identification of unresolved issues.
