Participación del ICTJA-CSIC en la conferencia IPA-IAL 2018

Los tres investigadores del ICTJA-CSIC, Santiago Giralt, Armand Hernández y Erik de Boer participaron en la conferencia conjunta IPA-IAL 2018, organizada por la International Paleolimnology Association (IPA) y la International Association of Limnogeology (IAL), el principal foro internacional de la comunidad que se dedica a la investigación de sistemas lacustres. El encuentro, que tiene una periodicidad trienal, se celebró en el la Universidad de Estocolmo (Suecia) entre el 18 y el 21 de junio.

El tema central de la IPA-IAL de este 2018 era “Desentrañando el pasado y el futuro de los lagos” y se desarrollaba a lo largo de más de 25 sesiones relacionadas con el estudio de los lagos, abarcando desde las reconstrucciones paleoambientales hasta las dinámicas actuales. Hernández y Giralt, junto a Celia Martin Puertas se encargaron de coordinar la sesión dedicada a las respuestas lacustres presentes y pasadas a los modos climáticos (NAO/AO, ENSO).
