OPEN POSITIONS | Geodynamic modelling within the EMARS project

Geosciences Barcelona (GEO3BCN-CSIC) is looking for two candidates (Titulado Superior FC) for large-and micro-geodynamic modelling within the research consolidator project EMARS (Seismic Anisotropy in the Earth’s Mantle Across Scales: Insights from Coupled Large-Scale and Microdynamic Numerical Simulations).

The primary objective of this project is to incorporate rock rheology into mantle flow interpretation by developing a novel approach that combines micro- and large-scale geodynamic numerical simulations. This will enhance the accuracy of predicting mantle seismic anisotropy under various physical conditions.

These positions are for a duration of 18 months and will be based at our center located in Barcelona. The first position will primarily focus on large-scale geodynamic modelling, while the second position will focus on microdynamic simulation. We are seeking candidates with a background in geology or physics and proficiency in programming.

If you are a suitable candidate for these positions, please contact mgllorens@geo3bcn.csic.es. The application deadline is 31 July.
