Los investigadores de Geociencias Barcelona (GEO3BCN-CSIC) Adelina Geyer y Joan Martí aparecen en la nueva serie científica ‘Superconectados’ de Netflix. Se trata del episodio 4 titulado ‘Dígitos’ y que tiene como protagonista la ley Benford.

En capítulo, el periodista científico Latif Nasser explora una ley de probabilidad numérica conocida como benford’s law que se utiliza en la música clásica, las redes sociales modernas, el fraude fiscal y en otros muchos ámbitos. Martí y Geyer explican la utilidad de esta teoría estadística en el campo de la volcanología.

En el documental, Nassir viaja junto a los investigadores hasta el Parque Natural de la Zona Volcánica de la Garrotxa pasando también por los laboratorios de GEO3BCN – CSIC. Allí los investigadores muestran cómo recogen y analizan los datos volcánicos para descubrir más detalles sobre el interior de la tierra.

La serie, producida por Zero Point Zero y que se estrenó 2 de agosto de 2020, consta de seis capítulos en el que Nasser investiga los vínculos que unen a los humanos, al mundo y al universo.

GEO3BCN-CSIC reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy in order to adapt it to the latest legislations, jurisprudences or interpretations made by the Spanish Data Protection Agency.
